According to sales figures from the entertainment industry data company Luminate, purchases of Ride The Lightning increased 160% last week, which drove the metal masterpiece to re-enter the US Billboard charts. Metallica’s sophomore record sold the equivalent of 3,900 units last week, a dramatic increase over the 1,500 units moved the week prior. Ride the Lightning currently sits at number 24 in the overall American sales ranking, a huge improvement over the 100 slot the album reached when it first was released back in 1984. (Louder Sound)
