On Saturday (September 28), Frances Bean Cobain and her husband Riley Hawk announced the arrival of their firstborn child, a baby boy named Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk. The 32-year-old Frances Bean is the only child of rock icons Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, while the 31-year-old Riley is the eldest son of skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. Cobain made the announcement with a heartwarming Instagram post featuring a series of tender photos of their newborn son, who was born back on September 17.  Cobain captioned her affectionate post, “Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk 🩵 ✨ Welcome to the world most beautiful son. We love you more than anything. ✨”

The famous couple received numerous words of congratulations, with first time grandpa Tony commenting, “My favorite grandson!” Former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, who was close friends with both of Frances’ parents, wrote, “With all the love and energy in the whole world 💛💛💛,” while indie rock legend Kim Gordon commented, “Huge congratulations! ❤️” (People)
