To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of their 2004 album, Good News For People Who Love Bad News, Modest Mouse has announced a 21-date North American tour to commemorate their Grammy-nominated record. The band announced their tour dates with an Instagram video along with a tour poster for their upcoming run of shows. The post also disclosed that Black Heart Procession will open all dates except for the tour kickoff show in Honolulu on October 28. Modest Mouse have scheduled three mini-residencies on the tour, playing three-night stands at Rev Hall in Portland, Oregon on November 1-3, the Bellwether in Los Angeles on November 6-8, and the tour closer at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn on November 21-23.
In another commemoration of the 20-year anniversary of their double-platinum album, earlier this year Modest Mouse released a deluxe reissue of Good News For People Who Love Bad News that featured eight bonus tracks including remixes by Poolside, Jacknife Lee, MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden, and Dan the Automator.
