R&B: Donnell Rawlings
Comedian, Donnell Rawlings, joined the show, as he will be performing at Bricktown Comedy Club on Nov. 15-17, part of his Black & Mild Tour.
Donnell first caught the attention of the industry while his fan base exploded with his hilarious sketches as Ashy Larry on CHAPPELLE’s SHOW, but it was his critically acclaimed role as Damien “Day-Day” Price on HBO’s THE WIRE that turned heads and legitimized him as a serious actor and catapulted him in the theatrical world. Most recently, his role as Alvin in the hit STARZ TV series BMF and his unexpected return to the second season as well as his role as the snarky Mr. Earl in Adam McKay’s acclaimed HBO series WINNING TIME: THE RISE OF THE LAKERS DYNASTY grew his followers.
R&B Doug Miller Interview
Author, Doug Miller, joined the show to discuss his research on Jesse Ed Davis and his book, Washita Love Child: The Rise of Indigenous Rock Star Jesse Ed Davis.
The book chronicles Davis’s rise from Oklahoma to international fame in the 1960s and ’70s. Davis collaborated with legends like John Lennon, Eric Clapton and George Harrison. In 2018, he was posthumously inducted into the Native American Music Hall of Fame.
The book release will be Nov. 12 at the Oklahoma Historical Society. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m.
